Slightly better for me than last weeks opener, The look of the costume’s, scenery etc are excellent. But I think I have been spoilt by more complex stories of Sherlock and Doctor Who, this is way to predicable for me. Enjoyable however.

Same here, the element of surprise is somewhat lacking. But I’m holding out hope of a plot twist, something unpredictable.

I mean it was expected. But it delivered what you expected.
I know plot twists are great and all. But there is nothing usually wrong with predictable. Given most narratives nowadays are formulaic since millennia of story writing has refined structure.

What’s bad is the audience expecting something that never comes.

Trouble is the Musketeers have been done so many times we all know it inside out and back to front. Maybe bring it up to date and set it in modern times. Oh hang on that’s already been done. with Sherlock hee hee.

The only Musketeers I’ve seen was Albert the Fifth Musketeer.

Perhaps the slight Western Twist to it might make it different enough.
I do enjoy the cast a lot. I’m enjoying this series a lot more compared to Atlantis, despite having a heavy bias of enjoying “Ancient Mythology” settings.

    • I’m glad that it’s more of a solid story as opposed to focussing its efforts on fooling the viewer.
