Sherlock and love
Is love in the air for Sherlock in the second series? Steven Moffat and Lara Pulver have offered some clues on opening episode, A Scandal In Belgravia.
Asked if Irene Adler (Lara Pulver) can possibly tame Sherlock, Moffat told GQ Magazine: “It’s a non-love story, but if one woman could claim him, it would be her. Not Sherlock in love, but Sherlock and love. In the stories, he’s not saying he doesn’t feel these things, but that he mustn’t feel them.”
Pulver added: “I would say there’s a lot of intimacy. And passion… A lot of chemistry…”
Grilled further on whether there is a love scene, she said: “Well, it’s complex. Let’s say we leave a lot to the imagination. We leave it ambiguous.”
The show is expected to return to BBC1 in the New Year.
