Colin Morgan is so gorgeous. Honestly, I watch Merlin for Merlin, meaning, for Colin Morgan.

It’s great news that there will be a dedicated Youtube channel to Merlin.  I can hardly wait for the 15th hoping that the preview will appear somewhere on the net for all of us to see!

This is a very poignant picture: Merlin looks so sad.  Compare this Merlin with the one from S01 and you’ll see what I mean.  In S01, Merlin was full of hope and optimism.  His eyes were bright with wonder and magic.  This Merlin’s eyes have the look of a dying man. Just like a man who’s seen his life slipping away and not knowing what to do about it.  It’s sad in a way.

Hopefully, in S05, Merlin’s still not being berated by Arthur or treated like his slave and lackey.   But, somehow, I don’t think so…

I don’t think he looks so much sad as “older.” After all he is at least 5 years older now (more actually in the story) and he should look different if not as hopeful or optimistic — he has been through alot in the last 4 seasons! All the cast look more mature (remember Arthur in S01 esp EP01) and Merlin is probably the cast member who has changed the least. So it is time.

I love this show and can’t wait for the new season but wondering if it will be the last?

“World-weary” might be a better term.  I doubt this will be the last Series/Season for Merlin because there are too many loose ends that need to be righted and the ratings are improving each year.  However, if I were the producers of the show, I’d keep it all hush-hush until the very last episode, after the final credits wherein the cast and crew gather thanking the audience for watching the show for the last five years and later saying they’ll return next year.
