Wow! The Dark Tower was absolutely amazing!! It is my favourite episode so far :D

I really love the direction they’re going in with the show, and next weeks episode looks like another stonker.

    Also OMG ARTHUR!!!! :O :O :O :O :O

Merlin is VASTLY improving this year! Loving it.

It better not be ending this year. The story is moving fast enough for it to be.

        • mujicat

I hope not. And they should NOT reboot it. Throw away five years of incerdible writing? NO.

          • Peripherus

Sorry, I wrote that wrong. The story isn’t moving fast enough for it to be.

That is what makes me a a little anxious. I’m not sure with the direction the writer’s are taking the series, it looks to me that Arthur is responsible for his own death because he will not tolerate magic in the kingdom. I would rather that they had sticked to the most obvious path and allow Arthur and Merlin to fufil the beginning of their destinies before the series ending with a clear indication that Mordred would cause trouble some point in the future; thus finishing ‘the coming of age’ story that they set off to tell in Series 1.

It would be a big disappointment if Merlin and Arthur didn’t create a land of tolerance together, for has Arthur really distanced himself from his father so far? The ‘Golden Age’ is an illusion, its just an extension of Uther’s reign save for a few tweaks.

I’m sure they won’t tell it like that, although the story keeps moving further away from Albion, instead on towards it. And considering we are basically already half way through the apparently final series, it seems as though it will be.

But the episode last week where Merlin renounced magic — broke my heart and made me very depressed — waiting to see Dark Tower (have to find it online now…. bye) Hope this ep brings back the love!

It was. I think it’s my favourite episode since The Coming of Arthur (which is my favourite ever) If this Series continues the way it is it rival Series 3 as my favourite Series of Merlin.

Hmmmm my favourite ever episode of Merlin is The Sword and the Stone, and I have to say The Dark Tower was very, very close to beating it :D

        • AmyPondIsAwesome

I hated The Sword in the Stone to be honest. It was a nowhere near as good copy of The Coming of Arthur.

I disagree but of course I respect your opinion :)

oh I don’t like Gwen yet enchanted again…..especially when they finally show a bedroom scene — and Gwen is not Gwen! Grrr….

        • AmyPondIsAwesome

She not enchanted. She’s been driven insane by the Mandrake root.

          • snowcat60

            omg even worse….:(
did we miss Camelot’s “golden years?” LOL

      • Dannii

Yeah, I agree. Though my favourite episode will always be ‘A Servant Of Two Masters’, I thought the Dark Tower was an amazing episode. Everyone’s acting was brilliant.

    • Merlinfan1

Yeah I liked ‘The Dark Tower’ episode as well, I thought that there acting was really good especially Angel’s acting, although I have to admit I was shocked of Elyan’s death can’t believe that happened, but anyway life goes on. At first I thought that it could be Morgana enchanting Gwen but the mandrake root will have conjured her mind into what Morgana wants, which is her rightful place upon the throne. I think that this episode will be just as good as the last one, this
series has taken me by surprise so far, I hope they keep this up, LOVE MERLIN

Absolutely loved The dark Tower. Merlin leading the way, offering Arthur THAT handshake and leading the way using magic sight. Ahh.
Brilliant Gwen/Morgana scenes and promise of more suspense to come. A great episode.
The next episode looks also really promising.

OMG what the heck was Gwen doing?!
