I’m really happy with this trailer though not surprising since this is Ridley Scott. Hopefully it won’t be a pretentious mess like Noah was.

    Looks interesting.

I am enjoying the comment sections. It’s not expected since people are passionate about religion… but I am still sad that people cannot see these films as “Fantasy Action” based off the well-known stories. They have to drag the original text into it and debate the original text.

You don’t get this with other book->film adaptations.

I understand your view Steve but some people don’t like these adaptations (though I’m particularly talking about Noah) because we don’t think they’re good movies not because we were particularly offended spiritually. I have high hopes for this one though most Moses film adaptations are always good (look at prince of Egypt or the ten commandments for examples) :-)

I don’t mind people disliking films of this genre because they think they’re not good.
I mind people who dislike these films of this genre because they don’t believe the original text is a work of fact. That’s just dragging baggage into their experience of the film.

Maybe someone should do a film like “Four Lions” that exploits your baggage.

Urgh, this looks almost as inaccurate as Noah. But still, at least it looks like a better film than that was.

Amen brother at least Ridley Scott is behind this one so at the very least we can expect a decent movie.
