Wow! And DC Films just keep screwing up great opportunities! It’s like they want to be laughed at. Not only has Marvel beaten them to the punch and still going strong, not only are they rushing to meet Marvel instead of building up towards it, but they already have two great characters who by the time JL comes along, will already be widely known to the public and they decide not to use them. What a bunch of idiots!

Arrow is CW’s hottest property and Flash is looking to go the same way. Why not use them! They don’t need their own movie, but they need something. Why spend so many dollars casting a new Green Arrow and a new Flash when people will obviously still go ‘I like Amell and Grant better’ when they’re in the cinema.

Stop f**king around and take the help. We want to see it happen. We want Arrow and Flash in JL movie. Actually, why not just do what you’ve been doing better than Marvel and concentrate on a TV DC universe. You have Arrow, Flash, Constantine and Gotham. Why not do more? Pick a station (preferably CW) and go all out.

They really missed an opportunity here. But do you think the DC cinematic universes flash will still be Barry Allen or will they use a different flash like Jay Garrett to avoid confusion?

      • Gustaff

I don’t know. Right now, I don’t really care about DC movies or the JL movie. I love Arrow and Flash will be great and I heard that there will be numerous crossovers (both heroes and villains) in the coming S3 of Arrow and S1 of Flash. That’s what’s nice.

My guess, since Flash is using Barry, DC Films will use Wally West to provide comic relief.

Yeah Man of Steel ruined Superman and if the leaked script for Batman vs Superman is any indication this will fail hard.

          • Gustaff

Didn’t even watch Man of Steel. Looking forward to Arrow, Flash, Constantine and Gotham. Marvel is deciding to dominate TV as well with Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and The Defenders.

I never really understood the need for superhero movies when one season of Arrow is longer than all the marvel movies. Hollywood just wants to make money. Entertaining us is just a side-effect. Flash will prove that Hollywood CG can be done successfully on TV.

You dun goofed DC and if that slacked script is the real batman vs superman script and not fake you really will fail.

    • Gustaff

I actually want a Batman Beyond film or TV series. That would be so awesome! That way, they can keep their precious Batman and explore amazing Beyond villains like Inque, Blight and the Future Royal Flush Gang

      • notsosmartguy

Hell yeah bring back Batman Beyond. There is actually an ongoing digital comic series that is basically a continuation of the cartoon which is really good. It’s just rapping up a crossover involving the justice lords.

        • Gustaff

Was a huge fan of the cartoon. Liked the themes explored. The suit was
so cool and if they can manage to make the real suit look anything like
some of the CG pics on google, it would be awesome.

  • Who Fan No 565

I loved DC all the way through to the end of The Dark Knight Trilogy, and then they do stuff like this! *goes away to have a rage elsewhere*

  • Guys, this is actually a good thing! If the two universes were connected, you can’t have really big stuff happen in Arrow or Flash that could affect the films. Agents of SHIELD felt restrained when it’s not connecting to the MCU (It only took off after C: TWS), and I’m really not sure if I’m stating my point.

The DC Films aren’t looking promising. I didn’t enjoy Man of Steel that much. However, I love Arrow and Flash looks promising, so I’m personally glad they won’t connect.

  • K.9

Well, I’m starting to soften to this now especially as we will probably get our own Justice League on TV before the film. But this is flawed because if as expected The Flash turns out to be a big success, if its still on by the time the movie universe wants a Flash and they pick someone else, that will backfire because as far as everyone is concerned, Grant Gustin is The Flash – and this is certainly the same for Amells’ Arrow right now.

    • notsosmartguy

      Agreed.

    • Timhogan

That is the big problem. Especially considering it won’t be long before Flash is introduced into the movies. I mean they are setting up for a Justice League film for 2017 (pretty sure). That’s only 3 years off, and Flash by the looks of it will be more than 1 season. So the option is either exclude Flash from the Justice League which is pretty ridiculous, or have 2 different Flash’s going at once. I suppose the only way to really pull that off is if it’s not Barry Allen but Wally West, but it’d still be pretty confusing to the average non-comic book savy fan. I mean Green Arrow isn’t as big a deal as he’s not an iconic member of the group, but not having Flash in the Justice League would be a horrible plan for DC.
