• Deus Ex Machina

    You’ve changed Aquaman. I don’t like it.

    • The Exploding TARDIS

Why not? The Doctor constantly changes and that’s okay. They CONSTANTLY change designs of characters, and this isn’t okay?

      • Joel Mole

This might be a joke concerning the people who don’t like this sort of thing

  • notsosmartguy

Personally I think Jason Mamoa’s a better fit for Namor than aquaman.

    • The Exploding TARDIS

It definitely does to me. :P

      • notsosmartguy

        Fair enough.

        • The Exploding TARDIS

          WHAT?! That’s it?!
I can’t go on a long, pointless, and extremely tedious rant BEFORE you say fair enough?
          Dx

          • notsosmartguy

Of course that was my evil plan all along fool *laughs maniacally*

  • Joel Mole

    Ok he screams awesomeness

  • Madge’s Mate

Don’t like the look of him.

    • Joel Mole

      why?

      • Madge’s Mate

The design is too “dark” and badass, which makes him not look like Aquaman at all. I’m sure he’ll be fine, though.

  • Christoph The Sky Sorcerer

I really don’t know how to feel about this. On the one hand, this does at least LOOK like a character that it’s possible to take seriously. But on the other hand, this looks like it’s going to keep falling into the same trap DC has fallen into with their last few movies: making everything TOO gritty and serious. Marvel movies are successful because they realize that most comic books have that intrinsic silliness and embrace it; their movies can be dark at times, but are never so gritty that we don’t forget we’re watching a comic book movie. Serious is okay, but too serious just means they’ll be repeating the mistakes of Arrow and Man of Steel all over again.

    • notsosmartguy

      That’s exactly how I feel.

    • The Exploding TARDIS

I think they are actually TRYING to do that.
You aren’t reading a comic book, you’re watching a movie, and the atmosphere is completely different. They aren’t trying to be like MARVEL, and trying to come up with their own approach.

      • Christoph The Sky Sorcerer

I understand that it’s deliberate and that they have their own approach. However, I have thus far not enjoyed that approach, and it looks like Dawn of Justice is going the same way.

I’m willing to be surprised, but it looks like Batman Vs. Superman is going to be just as gritty and uninteresting as most of the other stuff DC has come out with recently.
