Remember when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was sort of just barely watchable at the best of times? This shows just how far it’s come in a couple of short years.

It’s actually crazy when you watch one of the early season 1 episodes and then this.

  • ShalkaDoctor

This episode was awesome! SHIELD has come a long way.

Great review but could’ve done without the CW slagging off (if you were sneakily referring to Arrow/The Flash that is.)

Nice subtle almost jabs at the CW (assuming the Flash and Arrow).

While I dropped Agents a long time ago, I still read these reviews. Will
point out that Agents has lost ALMOST 3/4 of it’s audience over it’s
total run. And Flash has lost not even ALMOST 1/4 of it’s audience. Just

Simmons and Fitz were always my favorites.

I watch Arrow and Flash religiously, huge fans of both, and I feel after all the criticism Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D received during its early first season from fans of the CW, it’s amazing to see they’re are now elements of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D which are better than Arrow and the Flash.

In terms of a first season, Flash completely blows Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D out of the water. I’d say AoS is best in terms of acting, Flash has the special effects and is the most fun to watch and Arrow is the original and I’ll watch it till I die. (Haven’t seen Supergirl yet)

Oh, and Constantine is the best at being unfairly cancelled.

Still I feel you’re being a bit harsh on the actors. Stephen Amell has
grown massively in range since S1. Just check out his confrontation with
Captain Lance in the latest episode.

        • Oliver Gregory

I actually really like Stephen Amell’s performance, I just feel the majority of the people on the CW wouldn’t be able to carry an episode like Elizabeth Henstridge did.

Don’t get me wrong, they’ve been great performances from Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, John Barrowman, Manu Bennet, Paul Blackthorne and Susanna Thompson to name just a few, I just feel in general Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is superior in terms of acting.

Oi, watch it with the CW digs, the actors in The 100 are fantastic!

This episode was amazing from start to finish. Elizabeth Henstridge was superb, as was Casey. The ending proved how amazing Fitz is: he just found out the woman he loves fell for someone else and he doesn’t react with anger or jealousy, he sets about helping to reunite the. What a guy!

      Haven’t seen The 100. What’s it about?

Post apocalyptic show. 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse, humans fled into space and all the space stations came together to form one big one, which they call The Ark. The Ark is running out of oxygen and stuff and because they have to be so strict with rations and stuff, every crime is punishable by death via floating (sucked out of an airlock) unless your under 18, then you get put in prison. Since the Ark is dying, the Council send 100 prisoners down to Earth to see if it’s survivable. The rest of the 1st series is about clashes in the group, leadership and general character dynamics between the teens on the ground, and how they have to adapt to survive, and there’s the subplot with the Ark, as they search for a way to get to the ground. I loved it right from the start, but the general consensus is that the first 4/5 episodes aren’t great, but then it really picks up and just gets better. The pace is lightning and the character development and relationships are fantastic. The last 4/5 episodes of Series 1 are amazing, and Series 2 is just something else in my opinion. It changes so much for the second series to keep it fresh, and it’s just brilliant. I think I’ve given you a decent summary (hope anyway), I’d highly recommend giving it a watch (I’d say Netflix if you’ve got it but if you haven’t both series are on Putlocker for free). It’s my favourite show currently, though I do go back and forth between that and SHIELD. I hope you watch it, because it’s awesome and I think it deserves a bigger audience and recognition. The acting really is stunning, Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley in particular stand out, but others such as Lindsey Morgan, Henry Ian Cusick and Isaiah Washington are all brilliant too.
